Shella Roth DeWent, 70, of Lake Odessa, died Sunday in Pennock Hospital Hastings.

Born Jan. 17, 1917, in Clarksville, she was the daughter of Carl and Zell Drew Roth. She graduated from Clarksville in 1933.

She was married to Paul DeWent in Indiana in 1953; he survives

Surviving in adition to her husbnad are ; a daughter, Carole Axdorff of Wayland; two sons, William Griffin of Caledonia and Dan DeWent of Grand Rapids; a stepdaughter, Pauline Thomas, of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and a stepson, Vernon DeWent of Branch; eight grandchildren and six step grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren; and her stepmother, Freida Roth of Lake Odessa.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa, with the Rev. Ross Weber officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Lake Odessa Ambulance, in care of the funeral home. The family will be at the funeral home, Tuesay from 7 to 9 p.m.
