Interment was in the Steamboat Springs Cemetery.


Born in Steamboat Springs on July 9, 1918, Bud was the son of Oscar and Jessie Heatherly Chess.


He served in the US Army during WW II.


He married Lillian Snowdon in Denver on Aug. 25, 1945.


He was a craftsman with the American Telephone & Telegraph and a life member of the Telephone Pioneers.


He leaves his widow; two sons, one daughter, of Lacy, Wash.; four sisters, three grandchildren
