Allie Westendorf, 58, of R.R.2, Dieterich, died at7:30 pm. Tuesday in the Veterans hospital at Marion. Mr. Westendorf had been a patient there the past 53 days.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Rita) Ulhorn of Dieterich; four sons, Francis and Raymond of Dieterich, Fr. Alexander of Cleveland, Ohio and Leroy of the U.S. Air Force Base, San, Antonio, Texas; four sisters, Miss Minnie Westendorf of Dieterich, Mrs. Veronica Baruth of Berwyn, Mrs Lamberson of Chicago and Mrs Anna Bushue of Covington, Ind.; two brothers; Henry Westendorf of Brookfield and Joe Westendorf of Dieterich; and two grandchildren, Rosemary and Jane Ulhorn.
His wife, Rose, preceded him in death 15 years ago.
Mr. Westendorf resided with his son, Francis, on the home place. He was a member of the American legion.
Military funeral services willl be held at 9 am Saturday in the Immaculate Conception Church in Dieterich. Fr. Irwin Will, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Dieterich cemetery. The Dieterich American Legion will have charge of graveside services.
The body will remain in Bauer funeral home, Effingham, until time of services. Friends may call after 7 pm. Wednesdays. The rosary will be remade in the funeral home at 8:30 pm Friday.
