The death of Mr. Henry Raynor, which occurred on Wednesday, summoned from our midst another of the early settlers of this place. He came here forty years ago, and for a quarter of a century was prominently engaged in mercantile pursuits with his brother, under the firm name of "W. & H. Raynor." He has since operated extensively at the West. He was possessed of great energy, clear foresight and excellent business habits. He died in the sixty-seventh year of his age, leaving a widow and four daughters. The many virtues and rare social qualities of the deceased, endeared him to a large circle of relatives and friends, by whom his death is deeply mourned.
