Edward George Sluka, 88, of Lisle passed away Oct. 17, 2001, beloved husband of the late Violet; loving father of Peter (Mary) Sluka, Janice Lewsader, Michael (Jan) Sluka and Sharon Huigens; proud grandfather of Stephanie, Patrick and Jennifer Sluka, Joellen (Jon) Guenin, Tracy, Taggart Lewsader, Andrew, Austen and Derek Huigens and the late Travis and Troy Lewsader and Megan Sluka; great grandfather of Shane and MacKensie Guenin; dear brother of Mildred (the late Joe) Krueger and the late George Sluka; kind brother-in-law of Doris (the late Tony) Kotek and Geraldine Janes; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
    Edward was a WWII veteran with the U.S. Coast Guard. Worked 40 years at Chicago Metallic Corp. as a machinist, foreman and sales manager.
    Visitation will be held Friday, October 19, 2001 from 2 to 4 p.m. followed by the funeral service at Villa St. Benedict, 1910 Maple Ave., Lisle, IL. Entombment on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Queen of Peace Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Villa St. Benedict Building Fund.
