Robert L. Kropf
1934-2007

Robert L. Kropf, 72, of Goshen, died Tuesday evening, July 10, 2007, at Goshen General Hospital after a seven year battle with cancer.

He was born in Goshen, on September 5, 1934, to Solomon J. and Sylvia (Kauffman) Kropf. He married Dorothy I. Simmons on May 29, 1952, in Louisville, Kentucky. She survives.

A lifetime resident of the area, Mr. Kropf graduated from Jefferson High School in 1952. He was owner/operator, along with his brother, Vern, of Kropf Manufacturing, which their father founded in 1946, since 1976; as well as Kropf Eldorado in Sarasota, Florida until 1998.

He was a charter member of the Jefferson Brethren Church where he was a long time active member of the Music Team and involved in many of its ministries.

He was a past member of Jefferson Township Fire Department and served on the Board of Trustees at Ashland College in Ohio. He was involved in the RV and Manufactured Housing Industry having served as treasurer of IMHA/RVIC Board of Governors; on the board of Directors of IMHA/RVIC Valley Chapter; chairman of the IMHA/RVIC south Bend Show Committee; chairman of the RVIA Park Trailer Committee; vice-president of the RPTIA Steering Committee, president of the RPTIA board of directors and was inducted into the RV Hall of Fame in 2000.

Mr. Kropf was a pilot and an accomplished musician. He loved his family, flying, playing and singing guitar, camping, and he was an avid Colts fan.

Friends will be received 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday and 2 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 13, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

A 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2007, funeral service will be held at the funeral home. Rev. Ron Spyker of Jefferson Brethren Church, Goshen will officiate.

Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be given to Goshen Center for Cancer Care, for research or Jefferson Brethren Church Building Fund.
