V. F. Wieser founded the Hico Roller Mill with his sons as partners. They founded grain elevators and flour mills in Hico, Hamilton, Dublin and Stamford.
They installed and operated the first telephone system in Hico and expanded it to include Carlton and Hamilton. They organized the Central Texas Power & Light Company to serve Iredell, Clairette, and Dublin. They purchased the Hamilton Light and Power Company.
He married Miss Lottie Maloney. He was survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter--Sidney M. Vincnt M. and Henry A. Wieser and Mrs. O. W. Majors.
Funeral services for Mr. Wieser were held in the family home at 603 E. Main.
