Louise Beaubouef, born October 20, 1826, is the daughter of Yves Hypolite Beaubouef and Denise Belgard. She is the second of 26 children of her father Yves and the second of 14 children of her mother Denise.

She married Francois Bettevy in 1840. Francois owned a farm on the Red River outside of Marksville. She had 12 children.
