Richard S. Bernick, 77, of Vilonia passed away Sunday July 6, 2008 at Conway Regional Medical Center. He was born September 6, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Henry and Marie Bernick. He was a retired Army Veteran and former employee of the Federal Prison System.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Irene Bernick, two daughters, Evelyn Bernick of Conway and Donna Mahan and her husband Leo of Lawton, Oklahoma, two sons, David Bernick and his wife Carole of Mesa, Arizona and Eugene Bernick and his wife Marie of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, two brothers, Ron and Paul Bernick both of Pittsburg, Pa, one sister, Sylvia Snodgrass of Charleston, West Virginia, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Hank Bernick and two sisters, Marie Bell and Patricia King.

Services are 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Conway with burial in Crestlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of donor's choice.
