Helen W. Fisher, 66, Marysville, Kansas died Sunday, January 14, 1996 of injuries suffered in a traffic accident east of Marysville on US-36 highway.
She was born November 5, 1929 in Frankfort, the daughter of Frank and Wilma (Stoever)Suther. She attended public schools in Frankfort, Kansas.
She married Lawrence Fisher on June 1, 1951 at Frankfort, Kansas. He survives in Marysville. The couple owned and operated the Fisher Motel east of Marysville for more than
17 years before retiring last year.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church in Marysville, the Legion of Mary and the Altar Society. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jane Fisher.
Survivors include four daughters, JoAnn Vopota, Paxico, Kansas, Susan Price, Marysville, Kansas, Jane Butler, Dodge City, Kansas, and Linda Brull, Emporia, Kansas; six sons, John Fisher, Havensville, Bob Fisher, Onaga, Kansas, Dan Fisher, Nixa, Missouri, Mike Fisher, Marysville, Kansas,Greg Fisher, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Gary Fisher, West Covina, California; two brothers, Lawrence Suther, Frankfort, Kansas, James Suther, Atchison, Kansas; four sisters, Rachael Huninghake, Frankfort, Kansas, Mary Ann Sperfslage, Oneida, Kansas, Margaret Denneier, Colby, Kansas and Wilma Harrington, Frankfort, Kansas; and 23 grandchildren.
Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 1996 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Marysville. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Frankfort, Kansas.
