Francis J. O'Brien, 73, died Sunday, March 26, 1995, in his home after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, St. John's Catholic Church. Burial: St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at White Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 3 p.m., a military service begins at 7 tonight, and a vigil service will be held at 8 tonight.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Melick of Phoenix and Donna Bundy of Independence; three sons, Gary of Independence, Dennis of Ojai, Calif., and Larry of Ventura, Calif.; and three sisters, Angela Zieser of Urbana and Alberta Evers and Rose Weber, both of Independence.
