Hampton Fancher was the oldest son of Captain Alexander and Elizabeth (Ingram) Fancher, born 1838 - 1839 in Illinois. He, along with his parents, and 6 of his younger siblings, were killed on 11 September 1857 in the Mountain Meadows Massacre. He was 19 years old when he died.
