Well Known Local Electricial Succumbs to Pneumonia Following Influenza Attack.

Funeral services for Egbert Wilson Hunter were held at the graveside in Elmwood cemetery at 5:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon, Rev. A. A. McGeachy, pastor of the Second Presbyterian church, of which the deceased was a member, officiating. The pallbearers were J. F. Woodruff, W. A. Thomas, Benjamin Elliott, H. B. Burwell, J. K. Weaver and J. W. Cornwell, fellow workers with the deceased.
The deceased was 28 years of age. While working at Camp Jackson, Columbia, S. C., he was attacked with influenza several days ago. He came immediately to Charlotte. Pneumonia developed and he passed away at the home of his mother, Mrs. D. P. Hunter, 601 North Pine street, about 1:30 yesterday morning.
He leaves besides his mother, one brother, P. D. Hunter, of Charlotte; one sister, Mrs. Dean House, of Roanoke, Va.; one half brother, Willis Hunter, of Baltimore, Md.; and one half sister, Mrs. James N. McCausland, of this city.
Mr. Hunter was employed by the Southern Bell Telephone company for the past 12 years as an electrician and was declared one of the company's most efficient workmen.
