DELTA - Leona Mae Krieger, 73, Delta, died Saturday in her home after an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 30, 1927, in Frontier, Mich., the daughter of Carl and Mabel (Stover) Vincent. In 1947, she married Ralph Krieger Jr., who survives. Prior to her retirement in 1988, she was the head cashier at the former Family Foodland, Delta. She was also a member of Evangelical Mennonite Church, Wauseon.
Also surviving are two sons, Donald of Wauseon and Robert, Remus, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Randy (Sharlene) Geer of South Whitley, Ind., Mrs. Mike (Nita) Krueger of Liberty Center and Mrs. John (Nadine) Herring, Wauseon; a brother, Ronald Overmeyer, Delta; and 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church with Rev. David Conn officiating. Burial will be in Dutch Ridge Cemetery, rural Delta. Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday in Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon.
Preferred memorials are to the church building fund, American Cancer Society or Fulton County Hospice.
