Obituary: Teutopolis Press - August 1, 1940

Mrs Joseph Willenborg, nee Theresa Helmink of the Lillyville community passed away Sunday morning, July 28, 1940 at her home in Lillyville after having suffered a stroke. She was 8O years, 4 months and 14 days of age at the time of her death.

Mrs. Willenborg had been in her usual good health and it is said she had assisted in picking chickens for their parish picnic, being held on that day, preceding the fatal attack. Death occurred about 5 o'clock, about an hour after the sudden attack.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the Sacred Heart Church in Lillyville, with burial following in the parish Cemetery nearby.

Surviving are six children, namely: Anton of northeast of Teutopolis; Ben, Frank and Ferd of Lillyville; Nettie of Effingham; and Mrs. Frank Holkenbrink of Sigel. Three sisters and one brother are also, left to mourn their loss, namely: Mrs. Henry Deters of Teutopolis; Mrs. John Cohorst of Minnesota; Mrs. Anna Mette of Neoga; and Barney Helmink of Michigan. Mr. Willenborg preceded his wife in death several years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Deters and Henry Haskenherm of this village were among those attending the funeral services at Lillyville Wednesday morning.
