Gaffney, S.C. – Lillie Mae Guyton Mitcham, 80, of Limestone Court, died Sunday afternoon in Cherokee County Memorial Hospital. She was born September 1, 1900, the daughter of the late Joseph (should be Jacob) and Emily McDaniel Guyton and the widow of Junius Lee Mitcham, she was a retired textile employee and a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Kings Mountain, NC.

She is survived by four daughters, Miss Cubie Lee Mitcham of Gaffney, Mrs. Howard (Irene) Haynes of Darlington, SC, Mrs. Mildred (Mickey) Bowman of Charlotte, NC and Mrs. Austin (Margaret) Williams of Kings Mountain, NC; and 12 grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Gerald Weeks at 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 1980 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC.

Her grandsons will serve as pall-bearers, Billy Haynes, Jimmy Haynes, Paul Dunn, Austin Williams, Jr., Mike Bowman and grandson-in-law, Don Thompson.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
