Mrs. Amstutz died at 8:05 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2007 at Bluffton Hospital, Bluffton, Ohio.
Esther was born on March 31, 1918 in Bluffton to Waldo and Metta (Stettler) Huber. She married Cleland Amstutz on October 9, 1938, and he died on September 20, 1969.
Surviving are four sons, Daryl (Julie) Amstutz, Pandora, OH; John (Friend, Bea Holden) Amstutz, Cridersville, OH; Gene (Mary) Amstutz, Pandora, OH; and Mark (Kathy) Amstutz, Pandora, OH; two daughters, Barbara (Tom) Schultz, Monroeville, IN; and Joyce (Keith) Burnette, Fairborn, OH; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Wade (Peggy) Huber, Westerville, OH; and two sisters, Beulah Kindle, Ada, OH; and Pat Herr, Columbus Grove, OH.
Preceding her in death are 4 grandchildren and a brother, LaVerne Huber.
Esther had been a nurses aid at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton and Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. She also had worked at Triplett Corp. in Bluffton.
Esther was a graduate of Bluffton High School and a member of Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora, where she was active in Women in Mission and the Social Committee.
Memorials may be made to Social Committee at Grace Mennonite Church or Gideons International.
