Lydia Laber, 90, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2015. Born April 29, 1925 in Erie, Colorado, to David and Elizabeth (Seader) Laber. At age 3, Lydia and her family purchased and moved to a farm southeast of Longmont, where they resided for many years. Lydia was a registered nurse for over 40 years, loved her profession and touched many lives. She was an active member at Calvary Church; enjoyed Bible study and church activities, and was a member of a number of charitable and historical organizations. She also compiled a 12 volume genealogy of the Laber family. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Laber Fahlberg and brothers Dr. Norman H. Laber and John D. Laber, Lydia is survived by brother-in-law Addison Fahlberg, sisters-in-law Rose Marie Laber and Virgina Laber, as well as nine nieces and nephews (and their families) and many cousins. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, November, 19, 2015, Mountain View Cemetery, Longmont, Colorado. A Memorial Service for Lydia will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given in Lydia's memory to Calvary Church, 2101 Gay Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501. Carroll-Lewellen Funeral & Cremation is entrusted with arrangements.
