Mr. Freddy Gene Billen, 73, of Lake Jackson, Texas, went to meet his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, January 5, 2006, in a hospice in Harker Heights, Texas.

Freddy was born in Walters, Oklahoma, on January 9, 1932, the son of the late Charles and Nannie Billen. He graduated from Burkburnett High School and attended Midwestern University.

He was employed with the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier and served the Burkburnett and Lake Jackson area for 37 years.

Freddy was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother, Elsie Jane Doak, Peggy Billen and Dan Billen.

He is survived by his three daughters, Diana Frazier and husband, Paul, of Angleton, TX, Christina Cariker and husband, Mike, of O'Fallon, IL, Misty Martin and husband, Emmett, of Danbury, TX; and three stepsons, Keith Gresham of London, England, Jody Gresham of Salinas, California, and Mark Gresham of Victoria, TX; along with sister, Genie Meyer of Fredricksburg, TX; brother, Jack Billen of Wichita Falls, TX; and 13 grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Foundation of America. A family memorial service will be held in June 2006 in Burkburnett, Texas.
