Funeral Services for Mr. Erby L. Tisdale, 94, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Burdeaux, Rev. Larry Eubanks and Rev. Shawn Waggoner officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Tisdale was born on December 29, 1915 in Caldwell Parish, LA and passed away at his residence on April 27, 2010. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 50+ years. Mr. Tisdale was a simple, kind, humble man who loved God, his family, and outdoors. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Walker Tisdale and granddaughter, Rhonda Wagoner McKeithen.
Survivors include his children, Jean Wagoner and husband Jerry Powdrill, Ronnie Tisdale and wife Charlotte, Bonnie Kirkland and husband Jerry and LaVaugn Tisdale and wife Marcie; eight grandchildren, Pam Waller and husband Doug Perry, Chip Tisdale, Chris Leonard, Michael and Jeffery Kirkland, Kristy Lenard and Mia and Justin Tisdale; eleven great grandchildren, Morgan Waller, Robert Perry, Katie and Bryce Leonard, Leslie, Kaitlyn Ty, and Ella Kirkland, Alaina, Lindsey and Hunter Canterberry, and Zoie Tisdale; two sisters, Lois Benoit and Ruth Stevens; and a special friend who is like a son, Kenneth Waggoner.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Waggoner, Justin Tisdale, Jeffery Kirkland, Michael Kirkland, Teddy May and Brian Ray. Honorary Pallbearer will be Chip Tisdale.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
