Ruth F. Kemper, 90, of Paris, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 2, in Cobblestone Crossing Health Campus, Terre Haute, Ind.

Public graveside services for Mrs. Kemper will be 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, in Edgar Cemetery, Paris with Rev. Michael Dixon officiating, burial will follow. Visitation will be private at Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home, Paris.

She was born March 28, 1920 in Paris the daughter of the late Ora Johnson and the late Maude Fultz Johnson.

Ruth married Donald Kemper, owner and operator of Kemper Standard Oil Station on South Central St. for many years. They were married in April of 1937 at Marshall. Don passed away Oct. 14, 1997.

Ruth leaves her son James (Carolyn) Kemper of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; her daughter Nancy Kemper (Charles) Hanna of Oswego; her sister Barbara Rhoads and her brother Harold Johnson both of Paris; her four grandchildren and her eight great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker, employed at the Paris Bakery, and was bookkeeper at Kemper Standard Oil Station. She was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Paris.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
