Barbara J. Calarco, 53, of 614 N. Broad St., West Hazleton, passed away Friday, November 12, 2010, at the Hospice Community Care, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of Mary Jane (Broton) Lipinski, Hazleton, and the late Walter Lipinski. Barbara was a member of St. Cyril and Methodius Parish at St. Joseph's Church, Hazleton.
Barbara worked at Providence Place caring for the elderly.
She enjoyed gardening, loved animals and loved children even more. Barbara was a family person. Known for her warm smile, tender touch and fun-loving spirit, she enriched the lives of all that knew her. She was a truly special person, whose spirit will be felt by her family and friends for generations to come. Barbara will always be loved and missed forever.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her father, was her brother Walter Lipinski.
Surviving are her loving husband of 31 years, Rocco Calarco; children Amber Pinson and her husband, Jesse, Drums, and Adam Calarco, at home; grandchildren Ayla and Austin Pinson; sister Mary Ann Grega and her husband, Edward, Weatherly, Pa.; brother Paul Lipinski and his wife, Debra, Sugarloaf; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, Hazleton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Ss. Cyril and Methodius Parish at St. Joseph's Church.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.
