Stacia is the daughter of Daniel G. Jenkins and Phoebe Shaver of Natural Bridge, Rockbridge County, Virginia; youngest sister of John, Mary, Christena, Philip, Abraham, Virginia and William Jenkins.

Stacey Jenkins became the second wife of Samuel D Wallace on the 13th of November, 1862 in Walkers Creek, Rockbridge County. Samuel and Stacey became the parents of a son, Thomas Henry Wallace, in 1864; their two daughters followed...Sara Kate "Lula" Wallace in 1868 and Edna C. Wallace in 1872.

Samuel passed away in 1890, followed only a few short years later by their son, Thomas Henry Wallace; Stacey would continue to live with her daughters, still residing with daughter Edna on the 1930 census.

Stacia America Jenkins Wallace passed away in 1940; her true age will remain a mystery, as some records show her as being born earlier than the date on her headstone.....her marriage license gives her age as 19, yet if we trust these dates for the headstone, she would have only been 16....either could be true.
