Clarinda Mariller Perisho, daughter of Joseph and Melinda Perisho, was born Dec. 13, 1852, in Grandville Township, Jasper County, Ill., and died at her home near Yale, Jan. 20, 1931, aged 78 years, 1 month and 7 days.

She was married to James Albert Yelton, Feb. 28, 1872. To this union was born three children, Winnifred Arena, Elza and Lennie Leona. Her husband preceded her in death Dec. 28, 1886.

Of the children two survive, Dr. Winnifred Jack, of Newton, Ill., and Mrs. Lennie L. Huddlestun, of Advance, Ill. The son Elza, having died Oct. 14, 1875.

Five grandchildren, Verle, Denzel, Hayden and Leon Huddlestun, and Robert Robb and two great grandchildren, Carolyn June and Ronald Yelton Huddlestun survive.

Her only living sister, Mrs. Sarah Lozier, resides at Arcola, Ill. Her half-sister, Mrs. Emily Martin, resides near Advance, Ill. Miss Mary Giffin, her foster daughter and devoted friend and companion for many years, was with her and continued her loving ministrations to the end.
