Ferdinand J. Hatke, 69, retired farmer of Route 3, Effingham, died at 12:05 p.m., Sunday July 28, 1968 at St. Anthony memorial Hospital.
Born November 7, 1898, in Effingham county, he was the son of William and Catherine Dueress [this is incorrect-it should be Gerdes] Hatke.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine; step-son, Thomas Tull, Rock Falls; sister, Mrs. Clara Willenborg, Neoga; half-sisters, Mrs. George Hille and Mrs. Catherine Doedtman, both of Effingham; half-brothers, Harry Hoelscher of Effingham and Ben Hoelscher of Sigel.
Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony church with burial in Oakridge Cemetery. The rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bauer Funeral Home.
