Born Jan. 25, 1932, in DeKalb, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Schnoor) Michael, she married Armand "Shorty" Dannewitz on Jan. 4, 1952, in Aurora. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Somonauk.
She is survived by her husband of Somonauk; one daughter, Laurie (Tom) Guest of DeKalb; one son, Larry (Jackie) Dannewitz of Sandwich; four grandchildren, Lauren (Dan) Hoyt of St. Charles, Drew Dannewitz of Yorkville, and Evan Guest and Ellie Guest, both of DeKalb; one sister, Mary Ellen Huss of Somonauk; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Somonauk, with the Rev. Dennis Heaney officiating. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday until the time of service at the church. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, the day before the memorial service, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church Building Fund in Somonauk, or the charity of one's choice.
