The Sad Death of Mrs. C. E. Scott
Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Doolittle Passes Away at Carroll, Iowa
A telegram received by Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Doolittle today brought the sad news of the death of their daughter, Mrs. C. E. Scott, of Carroll, Iowa. Death came at an early hour this morning and ended five days of suffering following the birth of a bright baby girl at the Scott home. Mrs. Scott, who was formerly Miss Alta Doolittle, was united in marriage to Mr. Scott, a little over a year ago and the couple moved to Carroll to reside.
The deceased was twenty-four years of age and had spent the most of her life in this city, graduating from the high school here and later attending college at Cedar Falls. After a course in the normal school, Miss Doolittle taught in Hamilton county for two or three years. She was a very bright and winsome young lady and possessed a host of friends who will grieve to hear of her untimely death.
The body was brought to the city this afternoon. No funeral arrangements have yet been made.
