    Gerald L. "Jerry" Gehrke
Age 68, of Peoria, AZ, died Wednesday, January 2, 2002 at his daughter's home in Oswego, IL. He was born June 2, 1933 in Joliet, IL.
    He is survived by five daughters, Dawn (Randy) Sosolik, Tammy Rambow, Kim (Mark) Young, Jody (Kerry) Plourde and Shelly Gehrke; two sons, Jerry (Becky) Gehrke and Scott Gehrke; eight grandchildren; one brother, Rich (Shirley) Gehrke; four sisters Eunice Vonhoff, Helen (Robert) Bohnstedt, Jean (Tom) Chalk and Marian (Del) Williams. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
    Preceded in death by his wife, Janet A. (nee Yackley) Gehrke in 1981. Also by his parents, Clarence and Lela (nee Hancock) Gehrke; three brothers, Howard, LeRoy and Don Gehrke; and a sister Lois Cobb.
    Mr. Gehrke served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. A carpenter, Mr. Gehrke was employed by Hamer Enterprises, Naperville, IL for 30 years and was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #1889. Mr. Gehrke married his wife, Janet, July 8, 1961. He resided in Naperville for 34 years before retiring and moving to Peoria, AZ in 1998. Mr. Gehrke was a member of S.S. Peter & Paul Church, Naperville, IL and the V.F.W. Judd Kendall Post #3873. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling.
    Visitation will be held Sunday, January 6, 3:00-9:00 p.m. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL. Services will begin Monday, January 7, 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home and will proceed to a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville, IL. Interment will be at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville, IL.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials to Community Nursing Service of DuPage Co., 690 E. North Ave., Carol Stream, IL 60188. Arrangements made by:
