Fay D. Juers (nee Steinpreis), age 84, of Plymouth, WI passed away late Tuesday evening ,November 16, 2010 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.
She was born on May 22, 1926, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin a daughter of the late Martin and Meta Gosse Steinpreis.
She attended Sheboygan Grade Schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1944.
On November 9, 1946 she married Elwood C. Juers at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The couple resided in the Town of Plymouth after their marriage and later moved to Plymouth.
Fay worked at Lakeland Manufacturing Company in Sheboygan for over 12 years.
Fay was baptized and confirmed at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan and also was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth where she belonged to the Valpo Guild in the Church. She is presently a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Fay was a Camp Scout and Girl Scout leader and served for 26 years as a 4-H Leader for the Round-A-Bouts and Scott's Scotters where she led many projects.
She also served as the Show Secretary for the Wisconsin Dessert Horse Association, and provided childcare for many children in the area over the years. Fay enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, sewing, playing Bingo and Cards.
Survivors Include her loving husband of 64 years, Elwood of Plymouth; Three Children, Michael Juers of Lake Geneva, WI, Tana (Brian) House of Madison, WI Charles (Robin) Juers of Campbellsport, WI; Eight grandchildren; Five great- grandchildren and one step-great -grandchild; one brother, Donald (Elaine) Steinpreis of Plymouth, WI; one sister in law, Lorraine Steinpreis of Arizona, She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Fay was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Steinpreis
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning, November 20, 2010 at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The Rev. Charles Heup, pastor of the Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.
