Son of Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Sonnenmoser. Entered Nov. 12, 1942. Served Motor Transport Officer, Reconnaissance and Survey Officer, Field Artillery Unit Commander, Special Service Information Officer with 749th Field Artillery Battalion and 134th Field Artillery Battalion. Commanded a firing battery and a headquarters battery. Was responsible for the administration, training and tactical employment. Directed supply equipment, transportation and security activities. Evaluated intelligence, estimated situations, maintained communications. Directed fire of unit insupport of other arms. Supervised training of unit in field artillery techniques and use of field artillery weapons. Discharged March 29, 1946 at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas.
