NANCE, Adolph P., 79, Ripley, died November 30, 2010 at Tippah County Nursing Home. He was born October 10, 1931 to Mack Bolden and Kittie Turner Nance. He was a graduate of the University of MS, taught school at Pine Grove and worked in Memphis at the Art Gallery. In 1975 he started work for the City of Ripley Police Dept as a dispatcher and retired in 1995 with 20 years service. He was a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Center for 7 years and was a member of Ripley Presbyterian Church. Services were December 4 at 11 am at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Nance Cemetery. Rev William Connolly and Rev Reuben Nance officiated. Survivors include his wife, Frances M. Nance, Ripley; three daughters, Thelma James, Ripley, Barbara Nance, Flintstone, MD and Nancy Friedel, Dallas; one son, William Fondaw, Brownstown, MI; one sister, Maxine Powell, Ormond Beach, FL; three brothers, Dan Nance, Byhalia, Wiley Nance, Baldwyn, and Reuben Nance, Tampa, FL; 6 grandchildren; 6 ggrandchildren; 3 gggrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Darrell Nance, Rucks Nance and Leon Nance; two sisters, Gussie Oldham and Virginia Barnard. Pallbearers were Aaron Pawlowski, Torri Nance, James Ward, Danny Nance, Dalton Ward Jonathan Nabors.
