Elkhart Lake—August Richter, a well-known settler of Town Rhine died last Wednesday. He was born August 6, 1843 in Germany and lived to be 74 years. He came to America and Sheboygan County in 1854 where he lived all his life. On April 11, 1873 he was married to Dorothea Erbstoeszer in Sheboygan. They had 7 children of which one passed away at a young age. He is survived by his wife and the following children; Mrs. Clara Zeske of North Dakota; Mrs. Martin Boeldt of Millersville; Mrs. George Prigge of Town Centerville; Mrs. John Mahloch of Elkhart Lake and Paula and Charles Richter at home, also 16 grandchildren. The burial is Sunday in the Rhine Center Cemetery with Pastor Zeh officiating.
