Marshal was the first of the Cyrus brothers to settle in Minnesota, he traveled almost 1000 miles and arrived in Rich Valley, McLeod Co. in the spring of 1865, according an account in "History of Wright County". He relocated his family to Stockholm, Wright Co, where he lived the remainder of this life.
