Information from Dale Wolf:
Daughter of Stephan Huschle (1822-1880) and Franzisca Streif Huschle (1828-1881). Helena was born near Zusenhofen, (then Baden), Germany. On 26 January 1880, she married Alpons Zimmerer, originally born near Zusenhofen, her childhood neighbor, who had returned from America after establishing himself there.
The couple emigrated that year, settling near Wathena, Doniphan County, Kansas. Alpons and had traveled back to America with his new wife and older brother Andreas (Andrew) Zimmerer and his wife and family. By 1890, Alpons and Helena moved to Pilot Point, Texas as did his brother Andrew and his family. Andrew moved on to settle near LIndsay, Texas while Alphons stayed and eventually died in Pilot Point in 1916.
Helena later moved to La Feria, Cameron County, Texas after her sons bought land in the Texas Valley. She lived there near her family until she passed away in 1928. Helena was returned to Pilot Point for burial next to her husband. Together they were parents to 10 children, 5 sons and 5 daughters, two of whom took vows as Catholic Sisters in the Order of Divine Providence.
