Bernard was the son of Frank and Louise Kleier. On 27 Dec 1922 he married Catherine Elizabeth Klein and they had five children: Bernard, Donald, Edna, Ramon and Gerald. Bernard was a brass finisher for plumbing and bath fixture companies. He retired in 1961 after 35 years as a machine operator for American Radiator & Standard Sanitary Corporation. He was also a member of the International association of Machinists, Local 1344. Bernard died at the age of 68.
