Mrs. Charles Drees died Thursday morning at 4:30 o'clock April 12, 1923 in her home in South St. Francis. Funeral services will be held at St. Francis Church Teutopolis, Saturday morning at 9 o'clock followed by interment in Parish Cemetery
Miss Anna Hoelscher was born January 22, 1848, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Hoelscher (Gertrude Winter) then living northwest of Teutopolis, making her age at the time of her death 75 years and 20 days.
Deceased was married to Charles Drees, who died March 5, 1916. This union was blessed with five children: four Daughters (Elizabeth) Mrs Barney Habing of near Elliotstown, Mary and Clara died in infancy, Carrie passed away when 13 years old and one Son, John living at home.
She also leaves one Sister, Mrs Henry Doedtman of Green Creek and several grandchildren.
Deceased has suffered intensely from rheumatism for four years bearing the pain patiently. She was bedfast most of the time. She was a member of the married ladies Sodality. May her soul rest in peace. The PRESS extends hearty sympathy and condolence to the children.
