GRANDMA Kroeger PASSED AWAY LAST THURSDAY

Funeral Services Held Saturday Morning From St Francis Church At 9 O’Clock

Mrs Elizabeth Kroeger, widow of the late Jos. Kroeger, Sr., died Thursday morning, December 22nd, 1932 at her home southwest of Teutopolis. Mrs. Kroeger had been in failing health for some time but not until Wednesday evening did her condition become worse.

Miss Elizabeth Lobmeyer was born in 1856 as the daughter of Mathias Lobmeyer and Anna Myar, both of Germany. Her attained age was 76 years, 5 months and 22 days. On Feb. 5, 1830 she was united in marriage at Teutopolis to Joseph Kroeger who preceded her in death November 2nd, 1930. To this union seven children were born. Mary and Henry dying in infancy and John dying in 1919 at the age of 28 years, County Clerk Clem Kroeger of Teutopolis and Joseph Kroeger with whom she has been making her home; Mrs. Frank (Anna) Ernst of Teutopolis and Mrs (Katherine) John Sandschafer of Bishop township, beside, nineteen grandchildren survive.

Funeral, services were held from St. Francis church, Saturday morning December 24th, 1932 and was attended by a large number of relatives and friends. Rev. Father Angelus sang the Requiem Mass and officiated at the grave.

Mrs. Kroeger was a faithful member of St. Francis church and also of the Married Ladies Sodality. She was a good Christian Wife, and mother and will be sadly missed by her relatives and friends.

The Press extends, heartfelt sympathy and condolence to the bereaved children.
