Charles, sister Anna (Sister M. Camilla, OSF) and father Clemens immigrated to America June 1870 on the Ship Named Ohio. They left Bremen Harbor, and the journey could have taken up to 44 days.

He was a schoolteacher and church organist and very dedicated to the church.
