Christina Barbara Steinle was born to Johann Georg Steinle (1770-?) and Maria Katharina Glocklerin (~1775 - December 26, 1833) in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Christiana Steinle married George Michael F Ruegger (1809–1872?) in Baden-Württemberg, Germany; Michael Rügger was born in Loechgau, Wuerttemberg, Germany to Johann David Rueger and Dorotea Palmer on 25 October 1809.

Christina and Michael Rügger immigrated with their 3 children to America (United States).
Port of New York Ship Manifest, 1 July 1842 :
Immigration of "Christine Rieger" [age 43], her husband "Michael Rieger" [age 33] a Shoemaker, her daughter "Sophia" [age 13, but should be 5 years old], son "Friedrich" [age 3] and daughter "Friederike" [age 1 year & 6 months].
This Rieger family settled in Medina County, Ohio, along with the Henry [Christoph Heinrich Reiter] Reutter family, listed after them on the ship's passenger list.
Then, at the very end of the page, Paul Rieger [age 31] and Friederike Rieger [age 36] are listed after the Henry Reutter family on the ship's list.
Paul and Frederika Reiger were both living with the Henry Reutter family in the 1850 U.S. Census, and when Henry Reutter died in 1873, he left them the house, they were occupying at that time., they must have been very close family to the Reutters.

1850 US Census, Lorain County, Grafton township: Michael Rügger (Ruegger)- male, age 41, Christina- female, age 51, Sophia - female, age 13 and Frederika - female, age 9 years. [No other children are listed, i.e. her son Frederick Rügger, who would have been 11 years old.]
