Spencer R. Perrin Jr.
Retired from S.C. Highway Department
Spencer Rice Perrin Jr., 86, of 306 Union St., died Friday, March 7, 2003, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, he was the widower of Nell Cash Perrin and son of the late Spencer Rice Perrin Sr. and the late Etta McDow Perrin. He was a retired engineer with the State Highway Department and was a member and former treasurer of Limestone Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Perrin was a Mason, a veteran, a former Boy Scout troop leader and a member of the Gaffney Country Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Dody Perrin of the home; a brother, Frank Perrin of Louisville, Ky.; and a sister, Elizabeth Hester of Charlotte.
A memorial service was held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Limestone Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Dan Younglood.
