Emerson Oswald Gee, 83, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 at his home. He was the son of the late Milburn Chester Gee and Verona Eaton Gee. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Wanda Misty Gee. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served several tours of duty and he attended Cleveland Cornerstone Church.
He is survived by: his wife of 54 years, Wanda Gee of Cleveland; one son, Gunther Glatzel of Arizona; three daughters, Virginia Wise of Sevierville, Tina Smith of Sevierville; Sharon Lyles and her husband Chris of Cleveland; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two half-brothers, Jim Milligan and Clyde Nichols both of Austin, Texas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marvin and Berneda Harris of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday at Jim Rush Funeral Homes, Wildwood Avenue Chapel with Pastor Herbert Conley officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Gunther Glatzel, Chris Lyles, Larry Wayne Elrod, Mike Visage, Barry Fowler and Greg Workman serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Jim Rush Funeral Homes, Wildwood Avenue Chapel who is in charge of the arrangements.
