Word was received here by friends of the death of Cecil G. Hertel, July 30, 1978, in California. Mrs. Hertel, 90 years of age, was a native of Nebraska, having lived east of Nelson in the Blaine Center district.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hertel. Survivors include two sons, Ralph Hertel of Sacramento and Oliver Hertel of Alabama; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Services were held August 1, at 1:30 p.m. in the Land Park Chapel of Harry A. Nauman and Son, Freeport Blvd. Interment was in Masonic Lawn.
