CHEERS SR., John Walter "Walt" age 92 passed away peacefully, Friday, December 24, 2010 at Trinity Retirement Community of Beavercreek. John was born to the late John and Ina Cheers, July 2, 1918 in Butler, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mary Johanna Cheers in May of 2010 and his son, John Walter Cheers Jr. in 2005. He was a Veteran of World War II and was employed as a service man, and then Technical Instructor at NCR for 44years.

John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who leaves behind to cherish his memory: his children: Mary F. (Rick Hubbert) Cheers, Peggy (Joe) Abbinante, Bill (Sandie) Cheers, Tom (Tracy) Cheers, daughter-in-law Holly Cheers, grandchildren; Michael (Kristin) Abbinante, Johanna Abbinante, Tom (Erika) Abbinante, and Tricia Abbinante, Allison Cheers and Anthony Cheers, Kelly (Jay) Nash, Amanda (Aaron) Higgins, and Cassie (Brian) Wheelock, Christina Cheers, Jennifer Cheers, and Brittany Isom; eight great- grandchildren; sister-in-law Ruth Stiteler; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. His positive attitude, winning smile and charming sense of humor will be missed by many.

Family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Belmont Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Conception Church 2200 Smithville Rd. Dayton, OH. 45420. Burial at the Calvary Cemetery.
