Laura Harksen died here yesterday morning at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Harksen, after being ill since March 13. Funeral services will be held in the home at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon, followed by services in the Lutheran Church in Preston, the Rev. Mr. Peterman officiating. Burial will be in the Center Grove Cemetery.
She was born October 30, 1911 in Goose Lake, having reached the age of 16 years at her death. She was a sophmore in the Goose Lake high school.
Besides her grieved parents, she is survived by two brothers, Vernon and Delbert. A grandmother, Mrs. Paulina Harksen, will mourn her death. Several aunts and uncles also survive.
