Uremia Fatal To Local Man
Joseph Edward Brown, 50, of 509 N. 25th St., died at a local hospital at 11:45 p.m. Monday
of uremia.
He was born on Nov. 27, 1904 at Topeka, Kan., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Brown. He came
to Sheridan, wyo., in 1918 and to Billings in 1922. He was married to Sophia Groshell on Sept.
18, 1927, at Laural.
He was co-owner of PDQ Transfer Service, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Knights
of Columbus and St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert E. Brown of the U. S. Air Force at Edwards, Calif.,
and Donald E. Brown of the family home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Brown of 203 S. 32nd
St., four sisters, Mrs. John Degenhart of 217 S. 39th St., Mrs. Edward Goodman of 815-1/2 N.
Broadway, Mrs. John Daubert of 307 S. 34th St., and Miss Josephine Brown of Marysville, Wash.;
five brothers, John Brown of 417 S. 35th St., Clarence Brown of 113 S. 39th St., Adam Brown
Jr. of 515 S. 30th St., Peter Brown of 210 S. 29th St., and Edward Brown of 3008 8th Ave. S.
The body is at Smith's Funeral Home.
