Mrs. Maude Vise Thompson, 94, of Lexington died Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at her residence.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 17 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Rev. Robert Welch officiated. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
A native of Decatur County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Eli M. and Lillian Thompson Vise. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington.
Survivors include: two daughters, Doris Ellison of Lexington, and Helen Baird of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; brother, Dr. Guy Vise of Meridian; sister Aileen Vise Pettit of Knoxville, Tennessee, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Ed Thurmond, David Dillon, Harold Hammett, Jr, Bootsy Hooker, Holt Smith and Billy Cash.
