She was born Oct. 4, 1924, in Johnsburg, the daughter of Clem and Helen Schmitz Olig.
On April 6, 1948, she married Clarence C. Haensgen at St. John The Baptist Church in Johnsburg. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2008.
Frances was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was formerly employed at Wells Manufacturing and Fond du Lac Canvas Products. For 38 years, she and her husband farmed in the Marytown area.
Surviving are three daughters, Judith (Donald) Simon, Eileen (David) Grebe, both of Fond du Lac, and Cynthia (James) Dethardt of Little Chute; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Mary Agnes Haensgen of Fond du Lac, three sisters-in-law, Rosie Haensgen, Rosemary Olig, and Anna Mae Olig, all of Fond du Lac; three brothers-in-law, Sylvester Haensgen of Fond du Lac, Orville (Mildred) Haensgen of Johnsburg, and Ervin Bartel of Fond du Lac.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Joseph; three brothers, Leander, Orville and Conrad Olig; two sisters, Helen Koenigs and Julianna Olig; a sister-in-law, Adell Bartel; and three brothers-in-law, Marvin, Leander and Alfred "Fritz" Haensgen.
# Visitation: Visitation for Frances M. Haensgen will be on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and again on Monday, Oct. 25, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, N9288 County Trunk W, Johnsburg.
# Services: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Monday at the church. The Reverend Joseph Coerber will celebrate.
Entombment will be at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in Frances' name.
