Mary Helen Garcia, age 59, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, in Queen Creek, Ariz. She was born on July 23, 1951, in Globe, Ariz. the daughter of Mary (Nunez) and Abraham C. "Willo" Hernandez.
Mary Helen was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping and bonfires. She loved being with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Mary Helen will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Mary Helen leaves behind in loving memory three sons, Carlos Garcia, Richard Marquez, and Manuel Marquez all of Show Low, Ariz.; two daughters, Juanita Marquez of Phoenix, Ariz. and Angela Garcia of Queen Creek, Ariz.; eight sisters, Martha Renteria of Show Low, Ariz., Mona Sluyter of Globe, Ariz., Rosie Lent of Virginia Beach, Va., Caroline Campos of Phoenix, Ariz., Sara Harger of Phoenix, Juanita Hernandez of Globe, Bea Cabrera of Phoenix, and Bernadine Medina of Mesa, Ariz.; her mother, Mary Hernandez of Claypool, Ariz.; 20 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Willie Garcia on March 31, 2009; her father, Abraham C. "Willo" Hernandez on Feb. 1, 2005; and her brother, Abraham W. "Little Willo" Hernandez on Nov. 15, 2005.
Services were held Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Miami, Ariz.
Funeral arrangements for Mary Helen Garcia were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Miami.
