LEO A FUELLE DIES

WAS PROMINENT TEUTOPOLIS CITIZEN AND BUSINESS MAN

Funeral Thursday Morning at Nine O'clock From St Francis Catholic Church.

Leo A. Fuelle, one of Teutopolis' prominent citizens and business men passed away at Home in the east part of Teutopolis early Tuesday morning, aged 61 years, one month and 20 days.

Mr. Fuelle was born in Teutopolis, a son of Mr and Mrs John Fuelle, on November 1st, 1876. When grown to manhood he worked for the Mrs John Eggerman furniture and undertaking establishment. Early in 1900 he went to St Louis and took a course in embalming. Later he was associated in the furniture and undertaking business with A M Poeppelmeyer. A few years later be was employed in the J H Uptmor general merchandise and grocery Store where he remained until ha entered the grocery and general merchandise business for himself in the east end of the village, which business he conducted successfully until about three years ago when re retired due to failing health. The business was then taken over by his son Virgil and Carrie Hawikhorst under the name of Fuelle Store.

On September 8, 1901, he was united in marriage to Miss Alice Tolch of Teutopolis. To this union two children were born, Agnes and Virgil. Agnes was called to her eternal reward at the age of 19 years on June 8th, 1925. Besides his wife and son Virgil he leaves to mourn one brother, Louis, of Teutopolis, three grand children, Marilyn, James and John Fuelle and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was a member of the Married Men's Sodality of St Francis Catholic Church of which he also acted as Church trustee for many years.

Funeral will be held on morning at 9 o'clock from St Francis Church and interment will be in St Francis Cemetery in Teutopolis.
