Mrs HENRY HOELSCHER DEAD!
Mrs Henry Hoelscher passed away at her home about 11 o'clock Tuesday night, July 20, 1937. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock from St Francis Church in Teutopolis, with burial taking place in the parish Cemetery.
Mary Magdalen Kroeger was born July 27, 1864 as the daughter of Mr and Mrs Clem Kroeger, nee Margaret Engelberg. When grown to womanhood she was united in marriage to Henry Hoelscher To this union nine children were born, one dying in infancy. She is survived by her aged husband and eight children, namely: Mrs William (Elizabeth) Hatke, Ferd, Henry, Allie and Helen, all of near Teutopolis; Mrs, Joseph (Emma) Pike, Mrs, Joseph (Margaret) Meyer and Frank, all of near Effingham. Twenty-five grand, children also are left to mourn their loss, as are also two sisters: Mrs Ernest Miller of East St Louis and Mrs John Schoepner of Pilot Point, Texas.
Mr and Mrs Hoelscher had the happiness of celebrating the 50th anniversary of their marriage October 5th, 1936, in the company of their children and grand-children.
Mrs Hoelscher's age at the time of her death was 72 years, 11 months and 23 days.
